Adjusts audio feedback (repeats). There are 5 delay-based modes and 3 pitch-based modes. Mode selection will determine the function of the DELAY/PITCH and PARAM controls—in the delay modes, the DELAY/PITCH knob adjusts delay time, and in the pitch modes, it adjusts pitch. PARAM has a unique function in each mode.
DENSITY
PARAM adjusts grain density, or the time between the onset of each grain. PARAM and CHOP (grain size) interact in this mode for a granular tremolo effect.
LOW FREQUENCY OSCILLATOR
Delay time is controlled by an LFO. The DELAY/PITCH knob sets the maximum delay time, while PARAM adjusts the speed of the LFO.
REVERSE
Grains can be reversed in this mode. PARAM adjusts the probability of forward or reverse playback.
PITCH DELAY
Grains are randomly shifted in pitch along the delay line. PARAM adjusts the range of pitch randomization.
RANDOM DELAY
Delay time is randomized. PARAM adjusts the range of randomization.
REPEAT # / % Each grain may repeat from 0-8 times, based on the FDBK knob position. On each count, there is a 12-50% chance of repeating the grain, with an opposing chance of using the live input signal.
DETUNE
Grains are randomly detuned around a specified pitch. Use the DELAY/PITCH knob to specify which pitch. PARAM adjusts the amount of randomization.
LOW FREQUENCY OSCILLATOR
Pitch is modulated by an LFO between ‘normal’ and a chosen pitch. Use the DELAY/PITCH knob to specify the chosen pitch.
PARAM adjusts the speed of the LFO.
DENSITY
DELAY/PITCH shifts grain pitch. PARAM adjusts grain density, or the time between the onset of each grain. PARAM and CHOP (grain size) interact in this mode for a granular tremolo effect.
